Two arrested in I-40 meth bust

Amarillo, TX - Two people are in jail after DPS troopers confiscated over two-hundred thousand dollars worth of drugs.

Troopers say Tuesday morning they conducted a traffic stop on I-40 near Conway in Carson County.
Over six pounds of methamphetamine were discovered inside of the vehicle.

21 year old Moses Chacon and 34-year old Glenda Chacon, both from Los Angeles, were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

The illegal drugs were reportedly being transported from Los Angeles to Kansas City.

    Just a little before 5p.m. on Thursday, crews removed the helicopter, and reopened Gore Boulevard to traffic. The crash had forced police to shut down a seven-block section of Gore Boulevard from 31st Street to 38th Street for most of the day.
